Why you are Receiving this Notice?
Your facility is registered as a user of the Cypress Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT) system. Cypress Envirosystems is notifying customers of the End-of-Support (EoS) for Microsoft Windows XP (official notice), Windows 7 (official notice), and Windows 10 (official notice)) operating systems used in some Green Box Controllers (GBC).
The Green Box Controller is a key component used to monitor and control Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats and to connect them to the Building Automation System via BACnet. While the GBC product line remains fully supported, older versions running on Windows XP, 7, or Windows 10 are now at elevated risk because Microsoft no longer provides security updates or patches for these operating systems. In addition, older GBC hardware platforms may not be compatible with newer OS requirements, potentially necessitating both software and hardware upgrades.

The following Green Box Controller models may be impacted if running on Windows XP, 7, or 10:
- GBC-830-COM
- GBC-820-COM
- GBC-810-COM
If your GBC was purchased before 2023 and is running Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 10, it is affected by this notice.

Risks of Continuing with Legacy OS on Green Box Controller
